Fitness Schedule

GDSC’s Fitness program consists of the following classes:

Strength & Stretch

Spring

Tuesday, 5:15-6:15 p.m. & Thursday, 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Strength & Stretch was created to build core and major muscle group strength, endurance, balance and flexibility using muscle confusion as the main focus.  It uses multi-disciplinary techniques to develop well-rounded athleticism. Dancers, cross trainers and even beginners can take this class.

Yoga for Dance Parents

Spring

Monday, 9:00-9:45 a.m. (during Creative Movement [Ages 3-4])

START DATE: FEB. 4

Monday, 9:50-10:20 a.m. (during Creative Movement [Ages 2-3])

START DATE: FEB. 4

Learn poses that will increase hip flexibility, quad flexibility, strengthen core and back, as well as improve balance, and do so while your kiddo dances!

While this class will benefit ALL students looking to add Yoga to their weekly exercise routines, dancers and athletes will especially profit from the skills addressed. Yoga is a fabulous complement to any physical craft.

All levels welcome. Instructor will modify as necessary.

Yoga + Barre

Spring

Wednesday, 7:30-8:30 p.m. (Five-Week Series)

START DATE: FEB. 20

A class that begins with the fundamentals of ballet technique at the barre, and continues in the center with vinyasa flow yoga, focusing on balance and stretching!

Attire that is breathable, form-fitting and comfortable to work out in, i.e., any type of athletic gear; bear feet is recommended, but clean sneakers are allowed
